Originally released in the early '80s, the Peavey Decade™ amplifier gained a cult following for its raw, gritty tone, quietly becoming a go-to for players chasing unconventional edge and saturation. Now, as Peavey brings the legendary amp back to life, its unmistakable voice also returns in compact pedal form with the Decade™ Preamp.
A faithful recreation of the original 1980 circuit, the PEAVEY Legacy Series Decade Preamp captures the full character of the amp that started it all. Its switchable Saturation mode acts like a second channel, delivering rich harmonic overdrive at the flip of a switch. Pre and Post Gain controls, a responsive three-band EQ, and a hard bypass switch with anti-click circuitry ensure clean integration into any signal chain. Powered by a standard 9V supply, the pedal internally boosts to 24V, delivering the headroom and dynamic range that defined the original.
