In order to operate a condenser microphone capsule, it is necessary to supply it with power using a microphone amplifier.
The Shoeps CMC6UG is designed for standardized phantom power in 12 V and 48 V. Its circuit automatically recognizes the type of power supply (12 V or 48 V) and adapts to it. Its characteristics have essentially been little modified: only the current is adapted to the supply voltage. The current intensity is higher at 12 V than at 48 V. However, the power absorbed with the 12 V supply is lower. This is an advantage if you work with a battery.
The microphone amplifier is delivered with a Shoeps SG 20 articulated clamp for stand mounting.
In case of paired microphones, it is recommended that the microphone amplifiers are of the same type. For delicate application cases, we provide paired capsules that we select with the same sensitivity and frequency response. This selection carries a small additional cost.
