Synthesizer

he Jupiter-X by Roland is a state-of-the-art keyboard synthesizer in the authentic Jupiter-8 look, which wants to be more than just a remake of the famous Jupiter-8. With the latest Zen-Core sound generation, sounds of numerous classics like Jupiter-8, Juno-106, JX-8P, SH-101, XV-5080, RD-Piano, TR-808, TR-909 and CR-78 are available. The Zen Core technology is able to precisely reproduce characteristics of original instruments and combine them with others.

The flagship for stage and studio
Purely optically, Roland has come astonishingly close to the original from the early 80s with the Jupiter-X. The impressive, purely digital instrument has a slightly weighted keyboard with 61 velocity-sensitive keys and aftertouch. The large controls and clear layout invite you to "tinker" with the sound. Internal stereo speakers with two times four watts, outputs for headphones, XLR and jack, as well as a comprehensive computer connection via USB including audio transmission leave nothing to be desired in terms of connectivity.

Effects
To put the finishing touches on the sounds you create, Roland has added some powerful effects. Various distortion, reverb, delay and modulation effect types can be adjusted in detail to your own taste. At the latest here the presence of the microphone input is revealed: The Jupiter-X contains a real vocoder; Kraftwerk sends its regards!

New worlds of sound
The clearly arranged user interface provides direct access to all sound-relevant parameters with its many sliders and knobs. With just a few clicks of the mouse you can create your desired sound in the oscillator, filter, LFO, envelope and effects function groups. Depending on the selected synthesizer model, two LFOs and three envelopes are available, pre-wired to the Pitch, Filter & Amp targets. The four oscillators can be combined in many ways: If you have the combination of Juno-60 sawtooth, Jupiter-8 square, pink noise and RD-2000 piano in mind, you can configure the sound directly on the device, save and play. Here you clearly notice that Roland has implemented a high polyphony. The memory contains over 4000 sounds and over 90 drum kits. If the need for more sounds is not yet covered, the sound stock can be expanded for a long time to come via the constantly growing online platform.

Arpeggiator – The Next Generation!
The Jupiter-X has a sequencer with five tracks (1 rhythm, 4 synth) in which the sounds are managed at the same time. The i-Arpeggio (Intelligent Arpeggiator!) is a real creativity booster, which is oriented towards the playing, as well as phrases and beats. This way, suitable melodies, accompaniment patterns and rhythms are generated as if by magic. Of course these phrases are adaptable and changeable. Also part of the Zen-Core technology are the scenes, which contain 256 "overall states". Assigned sounds, effect settings, patterns, i-arpeggio patterns, programming of the sliders; all this is included in one scene.
